Mr. Schwartz has spent the last 25 years as an entrepreneur and start-up specialist. With dozens of successful ventures and…( some not so successful)…Ed has identified the fundamentals necessary for starting and growing a business. After college Ed attended culinary school and found an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for business. Ed launched his first two businesses while in school based on providing personal chefs to affluent clients. Rent-A-Chef grew to 25 chefs working in private homes! From those early years Ed continued to develop and seek out opportunities.

Most recently Mr. Schwartz was President / COO and founder of Real Brands, Inc. a publicly held Food and Beverage Company. Real Brands is focused on developing, licensing, and distributing beverage brands. Mr. Schwartz joined the company in 2013
From 2010-2013 Ed built Sauce Concepts; a specialty food company manufacturing and marketing a line of Sandwich Sauces called “THE Original Sandwich SAUCE”; sold through retail and foodservice distributors. Real Brands purchased the assets of Sauce Concepts in May 2013.
From 2004- 2011, Ed was Founder & CEO of The Eddie Black Food Group a food management company operating cafes and catering for corporate clients in South Florida such as Southern Wine and Spirits, DHL International, and The Atlantis Hotel Chains and 9 executive airports providing private jets with on-board catering. Eddie Black operated 5 corporate cafes and 2 production kitchens supporting a group of 49 employees and 9 delivery vehicles.
From 2001-2004, Ed was a partner in a custom food manufacturer specializing in prepared foods. Clients included Costco and Holiday Inn Express and other national chains. The business was sold in 2004.
From 2000-2001 Mr. Schwartz founded “SushiCo USA” a frozen sushi company selling to schools and Costco around the nation. The concept was pioneering in the process of making and distributing prepared frozen sushi.
From 1997 – 2000 Mr. Schwartz was CEO of Brand Resources an equipment fulfillment company to Wrapster’s a national restaurant chain specializing in Gourmet Wrap Sandwiches. Mr. Schwartz joined the company as it went public in 1997 and was sold in 2000.
From 1990 -1997 Ed was a consultant to Coca-Cola as an expert in “Branding” and “Non-Traditional” / “Intercept-Marketing”, a concept that allows national restaurant brands to enter new and emerging markets by using modular merchandising, carts and kiosks and advance cooking technologies. As consultants Mr. Schwartz focused on equipment and technology applications representing equipment brands such as Alto- Shaam, Winston Industries, Henny Penny, Southbend, Middleby, Turbo Chef and others committed to the development of advanced cook and hold applications.
1985 – 1990, Ed worked for J&J Snack Foods, a national manufacturer of snack foods. Ed left the company to start his own business.
1981-1983, Mr. Schwartz began his career upon graduating from culinary school. As the winner of the Northrup Award and The Hungry Tiger Award, Ed worked for Hungry Tiger Restaurant Chain and Northrup Aircraft in the foodservice department upon graduation from 1983-1985.
